Hasitha fell in love with this profession when she was a little girl who loved writing her heart out. Instead of shouting her heart out when she is distressed, she wrote. She loved reading too. It opened her to stories from lands that are far away and her passion arose. Her passion to the world of books never died. She scribbled something during her leisure time such as poetry.
Hasitha’s mother is a school teacher and has published several children’s story books. The mother created the foundation stone for Hasitha’s writing career. Growing up, Hasitha peeped in to the arenas of music and theatre at school. Later she performed writing for e-learning projects and search engine optimization projects. She started Queen of Sea in 2013 and now she shares its’ space for publishing write-ups with her friends who love writing as much as she does.
Sunila Nanayakkara is the author of ‘Swimming Against the Tide’ and ‘Some Fleeting Thoughts’, two collections of short stories. Many of her short stories and poems have appeared in the print media. Sunila Nanayakkara is a teacher by profession. She had her post-graduate education at the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya and the University of Colombo. She has worked in educational institutions in Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Seychelles. At present, she is serving on a part-time basis at the Institute of Human Resource Advancement and the American College of Higher Education, Dehiwela.
K. A. Sandunika Hasangani
Sandunika is a currently a PhD candidate in the field of Social Sciences. Reading and writing are her first and foremost hobbies. She finds peace and a deep feeling of satisfaction when engaged in writing that cannot be attained from any other source. She is a hobbyist photographer (loves wildlife photography), a passionate traveler and occasionally draws and paints as well.
Ms.Thalatha Wijerathna is the author of two children’s story books and she owns a small home library. She is a retired teacher and with her 20 years of teaching experience she knows what is best for the young minds. Thalatha is publishing a series of Buddhist Tales for Children, a story going online on every full moon day.
Inspired by her favorite writers, Madhu Senarath started writing stories and poems since her childhood. She spends her leisure time reading and writing and she considers it a quite wonderful way to unleash her feelings and find inner peace. Madhu is contributing with short fictions to Queen of Sea.
Charitha Adikari has a passion for writing. She has written about homeless African Americans she met in Washington, D.C. Streets to women’s issues and has interviewed inspiring People from around the world. She finds writing therapeutic. Charitha loves prose and poetry but currently involved in broadcasting journalism. She is contributing with witty columns of stories of everyday people to Queen of Sea.
Ladini Ransirini believes in enjoying every moment of life. She loves mobile photography, singing and writing. In spite of her IT career and higher studies, Ladini makes time to contribute to Queen of Sea with her write-ups and photography.
